It Wasn't Me, It Was The Beer. I Swear!



The name of what type of beer container comes from the sounds emitted by escaping Carbon Dioxide?

It's usually a 64-ounce (half-gallon) glass vessel for taking beer home from a brewery. 
The original growlers were galvanized pails that released some carbon dioxide as the beer inside was sloshed around as it was being carried, and the escaping gas sounded like a growl.  <
